What is
it that makes Paris so special? What gives the city its
identity and makes it instantly recognizable? There are, of
course, many reasons.
Although people are the reason for Paris, it is the
buildings that draw people in. But its not simply the
buildings, it’s the architecture. Its not the individual
vistas of the Eiffel Tower or the Arc de Triomphe, but
rather the individual elements that, in combination, form
the whole experience. Light is the tool that the architects
used to shape and form their creations. Light emphasizes
the importance and significance of architectural elements
that give Paris its identity and personality.
These images were taken during that brief period when night
transitions into day. A time when warm light first strikes
cold stonework creating a special glow that seems to
breathe new life into the city each day.
